State of Georgia, Georgia Budget
The state of Georgia has been making great leaps in prioritizing the Georgia budget. The whole purpose of prioritizing a budge is to bring state spending to the same level as policy priorities. A prioritized Georgia budget means no repetition of services, more economies of scale and a parameter for downsizing state government. These questions and topics are used by agencies in order to compare their current programs to new ones and determine if they are more important than funding a lower priority.
The governor for the state of Georgia helped introduce the prioritized Georgia budget plans in order to focus on customer needs and pinpoint exactly what steps should be taken for effective results. The main goals of these programs basically cover why the service is being provided, what is being bought for the services, who is using the services and how much they cost.
